Professional Parking Lot Paving in Avoca, PA
A cracked, crumbling parking lot isn’t just an eyesore. It’s costing you business.
Customers notice. Whether it’s a pothole that jolts their vehicle or faded lines that make parking feel like guesswork, a worn-out lot sends the wrong message before anyone even walks through your door. And for property managers, business owners, and contractors across Avoca, PA, that’s a problem worth solving sooner rather than later.
At Conte Paving & Construction, we’ve been doing this work for over 30 years. Right here in the area. We’re not a big regional outfit that sends a crew from three towns over. We’re local, we’re family owned, and we treat every parking lot like it’s in front of our own building.
Parking lot paving isn’t just about laying asphalt and calling it a day. It’s about getting the grade right so stormwater drains properly. It’s about clean edges, tight seams, and striping that actually holds up through a Pennsylvania winter. Done well, a fresh asphalt parking lot adds real curb appeal and tells your customers you care about the details.
We’ve worked on asphalt parking lots for small businesses, churches, medical offices, and commercial properties all around Avoca. Every project is a little different, but the approach stays the same. Show up on time, do the work right, charge a fair price. That’s what 30 years in this business looks like.
If your lot is overdue for repaving, or you’re starting fresh on a new build, we’re the crew to call.
What Goes Into a Professional Parking Lot Paving Job
Most people think asphalt paving is just pouring a mixture and smoothing it out. It's really not. What happens underneath the parking lot surface, and how the job is planned from the start, determines whether that lot lasts 5 years or 25. Here's what we actually do on every parking lot asphalt project in Avoca, PA.
This is where most cheap pavers cut corners. Before a single load of asphalt shows up, the existing surface has to be assessed. If the base is soft or unstable, the new pavement will fail. We remove deteriorated material, grade the subbase properly, and compact everything before we install. Pennsylvania climate is tough on asphalt. Freeze and thaw cycles, heat, and snow will find every weak spot in a poorly prepared base. We make sure there are none.
We use a quality asphalt mixture suited for commercial parking lot construction and light industrial applications. Thickness matters too. A lot that handles delivery traffic needs a different spec than a small retail parking space. We size the project correctly from the start so you're not dealing with premature cracking or rutting two winters down the road.
Water is asphalt's worst enemy. Poor drainage leads to pooling liquid that softens the base and accelerates cracking. Every lot we pave is graded so stormwater moves away from the surface the way it should. We pay close attention to this detail because it directly affects the lifespan of your pavement and reduces the need for ongoing asphalt maintenance.
Once the asphalt cures, clean striping pulls the whole job together. Parking stalls, fire lanes, ADA spaces, directional arrows, pedestrian crossings, and sidewalk markings. We handle it all. A well-striped commercial parking lot improves traffic flow, reduces liability, and frankly just looks sharp.
Why Avoca Trusts Conte Paving & Construction
Choosing a contractor for parking lot maintenance or full repaving is not like ordering something online. You're handing someone access to your property, your timeline, and your budget. That's a real decision. And around here, reputation means everything.
We've been paving asphalt parking lots in and around Avoca, PA since before most of our competitors were in business. That kind of tenure doesn't happen by accident. It happens because people call us back. Because they refer us to their neighbors, their property managers, their business contacts. We've worked on parking lot design and construction projects across Lackawanna County and the surrounding area, and we still run into past customers at the hardware store, at church, around town. That matters to us.

You're talking directly to the people who built this business from the ground up. We have real skin in the game on every job. If something isn't right, we make it right. No runaround.
We give honest estimates on everything from a full concrete parking lot to asphalt driveway work and snow removal services.
