Who We Are
Your commercial property needs pavement that handles whatever Central Pennsylvania throws at it. Heavy trucks, constant traffic, brutal winters. Conte Paving & Construction has been doing exactly that for Harrisburg businesses for more than 30 years.
We're a family business. Not a franchise, not a corporate outfit with regional managers and rotating crews. The Conte name is on every job we take, and that means something to us. When we give you a deadline and a promised outcome, that's not a sales line. That's a commitment from our family to your business.
Our Story: Three Decades Paving Central Pennsylvania
Back in the early 90s, the Conte family noticed something missing in Pennsylvania's paving industry. Contractors you could actually count on. Companies that showed up when they said they would and delivered what they promised.
That gap became the foundation of this business.
Since then, we've watched Harrisburg grow from a quiet government town into a thriving commercial hub. Route 22 got busier. Interstate 81 brought more commerce. Business parks spread across Dauphin County. While a lot of contractors chased quick residential work, we doubled down on the complex commercial and industrial projects that actually matter to business owners and property managers.
Thirty years later, that decision still defines who we are. Commercial paving is not a side service for us. It's the whole operation.
What Makes Us Different
Everything Done by Our Own Crew
No subcontractors. No coordination headaches. Site prep, excavation, grading, asphalt, concrete, and line striping, all handled by our own people from start to finish. One contract, one schedule, one company to call if anything needs attention.
Built for Heavy Commercial Use
Standard residential techniques don't hold up under commercial demands. We engineer surfaces for the weight, traffic, and conditions your operation puts on them. Proper base construction and quality hot mix asphalt mean your pavement performs for years, not months.
We Handle the Red Tape
Municipal permits and compliance requirements slow projects down fast when you don't know the system. We manage all the paperwork, inspections, and regulatory requirements so your project stays on schedule.
Family Ownership Changes Everything
Every job reflects directly on our name. That accountability is built into how we work, how we communicate, and how we treat every client relationship.
Our Services
Conte Paving & Construction handles the full scope of commercial paving and site work so you don't need multiple contractors on one project:
New asphalt paving and resurfacing for commercial and industrial use
Road construction and heavy-duty pavement systems
Concrete repair and new concrete installation
Site excavation, grading, and ground preparation
Parking lot striping, maintenance, and surface repairs
